About the book

Aura is a dark fantasy webcomic series set in a horror-filled world where all living things possess Aura, a mysterious force that surrounds them and interacts with their environment.
While most humans cannot control it, a rare few can harness their Aura to perform incredible feats, such as enhancing their strength, manipulating their surroundings, or even challenging reality itself.

The story follows Haki Kamau, a young Shedir struggling to manage the dangerous and unpredictable nature of his own Aura, while confronting the deadly horrors of this world.
The series explores themes of logic, emotion, duty, hard work, and the impact of trauma on the mind, following Haki as a flawed, broken hero on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth.

About this campaign

We’re raising funds to create the next chapter of Aura (Chapter 4, Episode 5).
This campaign’s goal is simple: keep the story moving forward.

Our first season is planned to span 35 chapters (600–700 pages in horizontal read format), and each campaign helps us edge closer to that milestone, one step, one episode at a time.

The journey so far

Back in September 2024, we dropped a 4-chapter prequel to Aura after closing our very first fundraiser, huge thanks to everyone who made that possible!
Since then, we’ve released 3 new introductory chapters from the main series on GlobalComix, and here’s the fun part: Aura is 100% community-supported because we want the story to remain free for everyone to enjoy.

Now we’re gearing up for the first official season, a continuation of events after those introductory chapters - planned to be around 35 chapters long.
This is where we need your support: to keep building this world, telling this story, and of course, keeping the coffee running ☕.

Note: Aura is created in a vertical (webtoon) format for easy reading on mobile and PC.
For backers receiving physical copies, rewards will be converted into a horizontal, traditional page format.

About me

I’m a freelance artist with over 10 years of experience working on character designs, concept art, and storyboards.
Storytelling has always been at the core of what I do. When I’m not working on client projects, I’m writing novels and drawing comics in my free time.

Outside of art, I’m passionate about movies, novels, and video games.
Yes, I’m very much a fantasy nerd (if that’s even a real thing), and I love channeling that energy into the worlds and characters I create.

Creating Aura: The Six Towers is my chance to bring together years of creative work and my love for fantasy storytelling into one project I can finally share with the world.

Risks and challenges

Most rewards carry minimal risk, as the prequel has been completed for months and only needs to be converted to a horizontal format for physical copies.

For printing and shipping, we’ve partnered with a firm experienced in handling campaign deliveries. However, delays or errors can occasionally occur, especially since many vendors are overseas.

If items do not arrive on time or as expected, we will communicate promptly with all backers and provide updated delivery timelines.
