Story
When Bert, a wannabe action hero raised on '80s movies, moves to a new school, his reputation is on the line. To win over the doubters, he teams up with a crew of tech-savvy misfits and promises them the one thing they crave most... popularity. Their outlandish plan? Hijack the school's VR lab and transform Bert into a real-life action hero. But the stunt backfires, ripping open a wormhole to another dimension where Bert's wildest movie fantasies, and nightmares, come to life. Now the gang must battle monsters, warped teachers and shapeshifting cheerleaders to save their school from cinematic chaos.
The Team
We’re Adam and Jim from StudioNX, a creative duo with over a decade of experience crafting stories for clients like Marvel, Disney and Apple. We previously launched Niko & the Sword of Light, the world’s first fully animated comic, which hit #1 on the iOS App Store with 500k downloads and evolved into a multi-award-winning series on Amazon Prime.
Now, we’re back with Virtual Realiteens, our next sci-fi comedy adventure, ready to follow the same proven path from indie launch to global success.
Launching IP to monetization
We have spent years mastering the formula for success: Launch low-cost, high-impact formats such as animated comics, build a large audience on Kickstarter/iOS appstore then monetize via ads, licensing, merch & app sales.
Join us on the ride from animated teaser to award-winning series and share in the journey from day one. We are raising funds to produce a high-impact animated comic prototype: a cinematic teaser for Virtual Realiteens, set to launch in full in 2026.
Backers will unlock exclusive behind-the-scenes access to StudioNX's award-winning process, from early character designs and animation reels to immersive sound design and voice acting.

Future Rounds
Once this stage is fully funded, we’ll launch a larger second round on Kickstarter to complete the full animated comic and bring Virtual Realiteens to market. We want to use Kickstarter as a tool to build buzz and showcase the project to the wider industry.
If we surpass our stretch goals, not only Fundl backers might get an ROI, but we’ll aim even higher: producing a fully animated pilot. From there, we’ll plan to follow our proven path: releasing a paid version on iOS and Google Play, growing a loyal fanbase and pitching to our network of top-tier execs like Amazon, Netflix and Cartoon Network.
Risks
As with any creative project, production can always bring delays, or the direction of the project can change. To mitigate this, we're following the proven path which has worked for us in the past.
A couple of higher tier rewards include physical items (books) and those involve standard risks related to physical item production, printing, and shipping. Other rewards that are digital carry no significant production and delivery risks.
Any issues with fulfillment of your rewards will be handled on a case-by-case basis and we appreciate any patience should you ever experience inconveniences.
As for the risks related to future rounds, we intend to launch on Kickstarter which is a trusted crowdfunding platform - but the direction can always change and we might choose another platform if better opportunities arise or we experience any unforeseen issues with Kickstarter.
Beyond production, creative direction, and fulfillment risks, there's always a chance that our future campaign doesn't perform well or fails entirely. Please understand that when backing this campaign your primary reason is to bring a creative project to life. In return, we as creators oblige to do our best to deliver you physical or digital rewards you've selected in your pledge process, and Fundl may at it's sole discretion choose to deliver monetary rewards depending on the success of our future round.
